Im getting tired of my ATI card that won't perform good with QW, so in lack of money atm i'm wondering if anyone have a-not-too-old nvidia card over to give or to sell cheap to me?, that works good with modern qw

Just a side note comment: if it's just for regular use (no super new super demanding games), why not wait for the new sandy bridge architecture from intel which is supposed to greatly improve graphics (recent reviews can be found on google).

So far Intel's OpenGL drivers are on par with ATI's quality...

I have a leftover 8600 GTS 256MB. Got it for 20€ from a friend so you could have it for that (plus shipping of course). It's fan cannot be controlled under Linux, but I guess you are a Windows person anyways.

I just picked up a gf 9600 GT for €40,-. I'm gonna put it in a yet-to-be-build rig.

Anyway, in my closet I still have a bunch of agp cards:

- 6600 TD 256 MB
- 4400 Ti 128 MB
- Voodoo 3 3000 16 MB

And in my current agp pc a gf7600GS 256 MB

If you want an agp card, I guess your best bet is probably a gf7600GT 2nd hand. Don't you have local marketplace websites in your area? You could even try Ebay... I've even seen 7600GT OEM cards that were brand new.

He said he has little money, so Intel is no option.
