I've finally put together a map I think is complete and solid for quakeworld. It started out as bravado and now it has become this. This is the final version so there are no more betas. It's only on one server at the moment and that's Steek's server: #na.qw.pickup CHI-QW KTX :: 208.100.42.54:28001. I'm now leaving it up to the community to pester server admins to add this map to their map pools because I don't have time to beg everyone myself. I emailed and pmed about 8 different admins 3 weeks ago and only got about 2 responses back (one of them was kind enough to put my beta up on some finnish servers though!)

This release is complete with the 24bit textures / colored lights / source .map file / a readme.txt / wad file for opening in radiant.

Just a quick summary of the map I think I should include in this post
--
it's a 1v1 map designed for tournament play
1 ra / 1 ya / 1 ga / 1 mega
2 rls
1 gl
1 lg
6 spawns
4 teleporters (extremely similar tele setup as aerowalks)
strategically placed ammo / health throughout the map.

The release: subterfuge.zip

I'd love to see it being tested extensively by good players. I really like the layout and feel of the map.

Loaded the map onto the Dybbuk servers (might require a map restart or so to show up). I give out two bonus points for including the source .map file.

We played it locally on a server that "ok98" hosted. Hopefully he had autosaving of demos enabled. Poke him in #suddendeath @ quakenet.

see? Enjoy ok98's demopack, get back with any input.

I still feel abit ashamed to admit that I prefer bravadob2.bsp over subterfuge.
I'm having a bad feeling playing the map, and it never goes away. Have played it ~5 times now.

Revert to bravado, and just finetune that one?!?!

I'll see what I can do from here, as I also didn't hear from Bigfoot about the map. Maybe even put it in the ffa cycle as all you hipster biatches love small maps.

This looks awesome. Nice idea with color armor highlighting. I can't help noting though that while the ceiling above the armors is brightly lit, the floor below it is not, so the models end up being dark as well. I'd prefer them to light up like Christmas trees!
