Because of the thread crappers this thread has been deleted and it's contents moved to another thread.
EDIT: Now it has been closed as it is looping in arguments.

Besides, who else is there to do these things for free? edit: Suomicom EZTV is up and running again. Feel free to try to crash it, these things are valuable when trying to make EZTV more stable.

Tell me; what's the point? Why not help qtv development instead? How does starting a competing standard help any bit? There better be some really compelling reasons for this new proxy, or I can't see it doing any good for the community.

game1 is down, atleast the www!
raz0; qtv programmer Spike, is so damn lazy, or let me put it abit better, its hard to contact him on a daily basis and get bugs etc updated quickly!
with qqshka we get updates regularly

firstly, its not really that hard to contact me, up2 has no problems secondly, if qqshka really cared I could easily give him developer access

Sassa: That's like saying your qw.nu team is "so god damn lazy" to fix the qw.nu page. Please... Developing such a complex thing needs a team of people with access to different places, all of them being online, cooperating, etc. Also I've heard those who develop it now decided to remove lots of code after the fork. So there are real reasons why to start separate project. Looks like some people see drama where it's not

looks like we are closing in now any comments on the progress? Big one. I've put EZTV running on suomicom for a bit larger scale testing purposes. Qqshka most likely managed to get rid of the bug causing EZTV to disconnect from MVDSV so I can make EZTV to be run continuously. Now I want to see if we still have some of the old bugs left, for example EZTV making mvdsv non-connectable or hang. For this I've set up the latest builds of MVDSV and EZTV for testing.

Testing at qw.jollen.se:29000 with access to suomicom, troopers and jollen. Let's see if we can make it hang.

why do you need ez 1.8 for this?

Because even if it's streamed MVD data, it's still not quite the same shit as playing an MVD demo (or something). Some functions (chat?) may even require the client to send more data to the ezTV server, which older clients don't know about. www.facebook.com/QuakeWorld

i was asking Peppe why he is stuck with 1754.. seems like it's the same reason he was stuck with FuhQuake ^_^

Brazilian server 200.255.166.199:27500 (games02.click21.com.br:27500) configured for QTV (Maxstreams = 3). Is there a way to configure a delay time for QTV? We'll be running a championship on this server next week, and due to the fact many players has more than 1 computer at home, spectators will not be allowed to watch the games, and if there's no significant delay between the action and the tramission, the QTV will be shutdown during this games. tnx https://tinyurl.com/qwbrasil - QuakeFiles

isn't qtv delayed 10 secs?

In the old versions, FTETV (FTV) versions, it had a customizable delay

The delay is 10 seconds + client's qtv_buffertime (ezQuake defaults to 500ms and nQuake has it set to 100ms).

10 seconds is maybe enough for 1on1 matchs, but for 2on2 and 4on4 it's not! I was thinking adjust this time to something like 30 seconds or even 1 minute. Should be great if QTV's delay time could be adjusted without source code changes (for future versions I mean). https://tinyurl.com/qwbrasil - QuakeFiles

I agree with vegetous. However: Is there a way to configure a delay time for QTV? We'll be running a championship on this server next week, and due to the fact many players has more than 1 computer at home, spectators will not be allowed to watch the games, and if there's no significant delay between the action and the tramission, the QTV will be shutdown during this games. Isn't that quite possible with Qizmo/regular specs too? www.facebook.com/QuakeWorld

Get this client: ezQuake alpha build 1980 (outdated!) EZTV features: * can follow any observer (cmd follow ID, check with cmd users) * can download maps that are symbolically linked (Jollen's maps) * can change qtv_buffertime to reduce the amount of delay on chat/etc Plus few other features and few bugs too.
