i'm currently using 1280x1024@75hz on LCD , with cl_maxfps 231.. and also font size to 1280x1024.. and its the best settings i could find for me here.. but unfortunally the fontsize gets really tiny.. and its really hard to read some stuff .. not to mention priomordial things as monitoring life and ammo @ hud. I can set the fontsize up.. as to 800x600 or so.. and its way better.. but somehow.. i notice that as i do that.. not only the fontsize changes.. but the image itself gets a bit shortened.. i end up thinking that this isn't as good as if it were in 1280x1024/res + 1280x1024/fontsize .. so is there any way to size up fonts without messing with the whole image itself? .. maybe a different charset.. or some other commands ? ... or if not... can i sizeup at least the HUD ?

Try setting your hud (font size in ez) to 640x512 which is half your resolution or if that is too big then try 960x768 which is 0.75 your res.
Don't know which charset you're using so maybe you need to change that too? You can find some here.
