The
Netherlands faced off against their strongest competitor in
Quake Nations Cup group C tonight -
Germany. It was a game with a friendly atmosphere where the sharper dutch star players sealed the deal in the end.

DM2: [272:96]
The first game in group C in the Quake Nations Cup featured a surprise in the dutch team as young rising star
Marshall was featured in the starting lineup. This hard working rookie held his own and contributed very well to the, in the end, rather comfortable dutch win. He will need some more routine if he's going to be a real fourth option when the harder games in the tournament approaches though.
I arrived in the last quarter of DM3, so I can't say too much about that part of the game. On DM2 however things looked good for the German team until the second half of the game, when
Murdoc and
Reppie stepped on it and widened the gap between the teams. Man of the match was
Reppie with his 85 frag record on DM2. Worth noticing is that his team mate in Firing Squad,
123, was benched in the German team. Provided he played a bit more he should be a real asset to the German team with his routine, which makes this decision fairly strange.
