So what is the QRP status as of today?

I think Up2 has the best overall picture of the situation as there are several people working with QRP, but from my point of view it's like 30-35 textures left to do.
Besides those 30-35 textures there are some that needs to be updated as well but that is a minor problem imo.

Is there any prospect of a new release soon? The project seems so close to being finished that I can't wait to see it finally get stamped *done*.

might be found somewhere, anyways what does this project include and what does it not include?

It includes texturing, but not modeling so far, right?

yes, but what textures? Players? weapons? hudstuff etc??

It includes texturing, but not modeling so far, right? As far as I know it's 'only' world textures so far, and the bmodel skins Moondrunk did, you can download those from qdev too. Help me understand the little that I know.

PrimeviL skins should be part of the project, as well as models from Orion

Orion's models, though, are mods of the original models, which still might technically violate the terms of the Quake license. I'd be in favor of keeping this package only with textures that were crafted from scratch and can be freely distributed with a clear conscience. But I'm a bit of a stickler for that whole license thing. =)

Some of Orion's models like the coilgun are brand new models from scratch... and thus not under copyright. I kinda agree that the debug models could pose a copyright issue though...

would be cool if we could have an rsync server for the revitalisation project
e.g. maybe deurk of quakeonline.net could provide one like he did for the KTX map project?
that way updates could be made more frequently with just the changes needing to be downloaded (rather than new 200mb .zip files or 'update' zip files). Moon/RaRe/Ruohis could also more easily 'tweak' their textures with minor changes whenever they like, directly modifying them on the host and us (the clients) can just rsync the changes every now and again.
a big .zip would also be provided for win32 users unwilling/unable to setup rsync
also it probably then makes sense to contact woods and share/store his CTF textures in the same location as they rely on much of the QRP ones Didn't see that, so sorry for the lack of answer. Yes I could provide an rsync server any news on this for the release? seems like a good time to do it :-) fyi, http://itefix.no/cwrsync/ (Win32 Rsync package)

I can host a rsync for this if Up2 is up 2 it
