the editing was really nice and original.. the music was very atmospheric and watching the video felt really like a moving experience

Ok, as I am sure everyone else will scream "AWESOME" I don't feel like too much of an ass with the following hard critics.

The whole movie was way to nervous. Too fast camera and too many "anglejumps" and too many I-feel-drunk-pans. That scene with the rocket flying upwards for example, ugh.

Soundtrack: Uhm, too demoscene/glitchy/boring.
That 3 povs at the same time was insane, I could not follow the action at all and I think that most people who do not eagerly play QW 24/7 might feel the same.
The text (player name and deathmessages) did not fit and was unnecessary.
Yuck, blue teleporters? And white dildo torches. o_O
2 minutes outro? YAWN! Sure it feels like ages you worked on it and you feel grateful to a lot of people (aand you use expensive pirated programs), but YAWN! Seriously.

Conclusion: Of course I expected a lot and high expectations are ultra-hard to fill. Especially mine.
I totally dislike all the recent shaolin-productions-fanboy movies in Quake 3. They are all the same. Their style was nice one or two times, but now it is boring.
Unfortunaly this movie tries to copy that style and with that is just mediocre (sorry).
There is no kickass syncing, no great new style, no jawdropper. Why does no-one try something new? There are so many example of great camerawork in recent movies (talking about cinema here) that could be adopted for game movies as well.





Now everyone please give great feedback or I will have a bad sleep.

hehe spirit, sure it was maybe abit hard for you to follow the game with several cams, but for me it worked outstandin!
I think it depends on what kind of QW player you are, you cant always satisfy everyone.

the soundtrack was new and better than those hardcore rubbish that we usually hear.

but about the outrun, yeah that part suxed, you should perhaps do the outrun like gtgtrailer?

ur right, it looks a bit like those kinda movies.. but more because of i'd like to make a qw movie,
looking more the "up-to-date" movies atm. using the possibilites other ppl have with their game engines.
and as well to show none-qw ppl that qw can look like those newer game movies at all!

Nylon great movie man, excellent cinematics and I found myself saying "woah" several times during the movie.

Two problems which I was really hoping wouldn't happen which did...

I was hoping you'd use your great movie to promote quake more, namely, putting something like "PLAY QUAKE: http://fquake.sf.net" at the very last second of the clip =( Also, primeevil, moondrunk thanked, but not QRP as a whole? don't mean anything bad but all the guys at qrp deserve the credit and a link to the site would have been ++

Overall a wonderful movie, I hope it attracts more people to the game!
