i run fuhquake on a gf4mx agp8 p4 2.4ghz machine.
U think this setup should be able to make 77fps using the textures from QRP?
im using the drivers from nvidia homepage...
This my commandline. Dont mind telling me if u think it's stupid.
@echo off
fuhquake-gl.exe -width 1024 -height 768 -norjscripts -gamma 0.7 -conwidth 512 -conheight 384 -noconsmooth -heapsize 65536 -democache 32000 -notriplebuf -particles 0 -zone 16000 -noforcemparms -noforcemaccel -ruleset smackdown -noforcemspd -bpp 32 -no8bit +cfg_load will

-gamma 0.7 is sort of unnecessary
so you can't get 77 fps eh? don't think it has to do with the textures.. monitor hz etc?

well i get 77 fps most of the time. Just not all the time. And felt like it got worse with the texturepack (just a feeling tho).
i use pstrip 144hz tho, no vsync

mx cards kinda suck for multitextures, also .lit files hinder its performance too :/
with that said, most lcd monitors can only produce 75hz (75fps) for that matter even with vsync OFF; the fps counter just lies in that case. ALL fps is subject to the hardware, not what the fps counter displays. And I really cant see why most play with vsync off cause "for me" I hate screen tearing.
try -nomtex on your commandline and ditch any .lit files u might have and get a second shift and make more $$ to get a new gfx card
good luck, have fun...

Do you also use custom models? They cut down the performance very much. Custom textures shouldn't be such an issue.
