I wonder if there're any plans for xmms2 support? xmms is somewhat deprecated with all of its bugs, and was even removed from Gentoo's portage tree a while back... -- It's inevitable that I school you all in Quakeworld. ...On how to be newbs like me...

"Pk3 support" <- Uhm, isn't it already there? Should not be hard to implement so I take it as obvious implementation somewhen in the future. "Built-in EzStart" <- What? Like that options thing would polp up on every start? Eww, no. Or some new menu where you can change all those things and restart the engine when applying? That would be cool. I did vote for "QVM/scripted menus" even though I am not sure what that means. More user-friendly menus are very important. I cannon remember how often I explained people the use of the server browser.

Spirit: the built-in EzStart could be bypassed by launching the game with -noezstart i voted built-in EZStart, but it should be done with visual elements for better understanding or so

ezstart itself should be improved, to look like the startup programs of newer games, imo.

Ragdoll player models with v weapon support and with more frames for the animation cycles. skm or dpm format would be good.

OTHER:
A very useful feature would be for ezQuake to support changing every single setting from the Quake console, without having to restart the client or disconnect from a server. Every single setting should also be able to be saved in and loaded from a CFG file. Currently there are certain settings that can only be set from the command-line. These settings cannot be saved in the CFG and changing them requires the user to shutdown the client.

we need qizmo's source code! noone knows zibbo or perkele? ask them to go to qhlan tip of the day would be awesome too... there are so many features that would be nice to have that, menu redesign would be great.. add common console commands (at least) to options menu, something like this gl_triplebuffering on ? gl_rocketrail 2 ? gl_jfflreflreh 4 ? a list of these, well organized commands in the options menu. separeted by categories, some with several pages, sorted by name oh and the "?" would stand for command description (help) which would appear on screen when clicked, maybe a small textbox on the right. (the "help" already exist in xml format, thx jonhny_cz and others!) oh and another thing.. i find pretty anoying the fact that in the ingame server browser, on server list, when i hit enter to see the details of a server (players, etc) this window that pops has a weird alphabending, making it hard to read whats in there. i would like to see this "detail window" opaque. thankssssssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!! never argue with an idiot. they'll bring you back to their level and then beat you with experience.

linux xmms ofc and make qizmocompatible voice support, in the end I want all voice recorded directly on the mvd's but that require mvdsvmodifications as well I suppose.

I have been preaching QVM menus for the past 4 years or so, but i guess it's just too much work, but those in Nexuiz seem ok, far better than those in q3, and better than anything we have. I know they work in FTE, maybe some wiz-kid could port those to ezQuake?

Get rid of the following cmdline parameters and make them changeable on-the-fly! This is already possible (to some extent) in other Quake/QW clients like Darkplaces or FTE. -bpp vid_depth or something like that -conheight -conwidth vid_consolewidth/height -dinput in_mouse 0/1/-1 (disable mouse / use direct input / don't use direct input) and in_restart (restart input subsystem) -freq vid_displayfrequency followed by a vid_restart -height -width vid_modelist should list some standard resolutions like 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768 ect.. When someone wants to specify a custom mode, he can use vid_mode -1 and vid_customwidth/vid_customheight EDIT I forgot vid_fullscreen 0/1 to toggle windowed/fullscreen mode

^^ Best idea yet, closely followed by mouse driven or qvm menus and the tip of the day stuff for n00bs.

-freq vid_displayfrequency followed by a vid_restart vid_displayfrequency you can change in quake already

Hud Drag and Drop Editor And then the option to tell EzQuake to write a hud script for it with it compatible for all resolutions. Either make this an option or assume it.

Hud Drag and Drop Editor I don't think that this is something the ezQuake dev team should use their limited time on, this can be done in some standalone program, not that it's not a good idea
