Let me to tell you some history...

I know Ilf very well personally and i saw how he take his shaftskill...
From 1.5 years ago till this days.
Ilf has started to train his shaft like mad after ASUS Winter 2004 champ, where i has raped him on LAN with 44% (my) shaft versus 18% (his).
witka (most active player at russian QW scene) was there too - you not, so just listen. We are with witka has played 1000000 times povdmm4 vs Ilf and has trained him to this good shape. We saw how his skill has grown. Secret is simple: soft320x200 + extremely small sensitivity on shaft (bad moving confirm this). WITHOUT ANY AIMBOTS.

But with understanding concern of dear QW community, I want to offer to check up something to resolve this trouble.

When Ilf will arrive to Moscow we organize some competition.
Rules: Inetcafe computers, any map, any player can give his QW distro to Ilf, Ilf editing cfg and playing. Spectators are welcome. Lets see...

he he, if this ilf-guy knew that well how all the different players move, then it's quite strange he sucks with all weapons except sg and lg... As rl 4 example is just as much if not more prediction than sg/lg. I especially liked the parts where he was in closecombat sg-duels, doing lots of turns and his crosshair was glued to the enemies despite his "extremely small sensitivity" (to quote mr UnKnown)

There are certain differences between a human and an actual aimbot in terms of mouse movement.

Watch that clip and you'll see. It might not be the best, but I didn't care to watch every ilf demo for more proof, its even obvious in 100% speed.

Ilf could prove that he doesn't have an aimbot any time he wants - the point is that he is indisputably using one in these demos. Unless he can go back in time and have someone check his PC at the time of the "crime", there is no way he can prove that he did not cheat. Basically, it's irrelevent if he cheated before, or if he cheats after - the fact is he cheated in this game.

and all this situation is simple:
1) Someone has find strange player ilf in div3 with div0 shaft. Really strange - if you are did not know him before.

BUT We in Russia know our old friend Ilya (aka Ilf) very well since 2000 year. FIVE YEARS, MAN. He always was one of the best duelers in Bryansk. We has played with him in all big LAN events in Russia, has drunk some alcostuff with all Bryansk quakers together permanently. Became friends.
Last 1.5 year (as I said before) he has trained shaftskill like mad, and as a result we called him "russian interceptor" (: some humor here, because ilf's rusty moving, script jumps, etc always was terrible and stays with him... only shaft aim became pretty nice. All we know that shaft is not enough for win.

Just understand - you know: only demos and nick (and someone having some insult on ilf). we know: man, his skills, personality and good friendship. So who has more information? (:

2) Someone has checked demos and said "truely aimbot - aim cant jump to player model so suddenly". Yes-yes.... Many good quakers check this demos and has said "yes" "100%" "sneaky f***ing russians" and many other dirty words...

But one braincrashing thing: demos recorded only about 20 fps of real moving (its for safing diskspace), and when you are watching - demoplayer interpolate other frames between recorded. Interpolated moving NOT EQUAL to real moving. I has illustrated this in my prevous post with Doom_reppie_dm4 example demo. You can find another same example of this demorecording artefacts.

3) "How its hard to just tell sorry"
Yes, really hard. Especially for teenagers... but most of the russian quakers are not so young - many of us around 30 years old. Like Ilf...
