Simply just wondering which is the most prevalent hz, and maybe some opinions why you find a particular rate better than others. Thanks for answering the poll, in advance. Oh, and I included the settings that are possible to select with the USB Mouserate Switcher. If you use another one (if that's possible), well, I forgot to add "Other". So, sorry about that!

500hz cause its faster, der ive heard people say 1000hz is less stable and im stuck with 500hz because its the default with g5 'on 120 ping i have beaten mortuary dirtbox and reload' (tm) mz adrenalin 'i watched sting once very boring and not good at all' (tm) mz adrenalin [i]'i shoulda won all

500hz using an mx310 - it made all the difference in the world. i also never tried 1000hz because i heard of instability among all of your usb devices. It Takes A Tough Man To Make A Tender Rocketjump

Trying out 1000Hz, because my Razer mice will generally do more than 500Hz. And, contrary to popular belief, it even reduced CPU overhead in my case.

I think I use 250 Hz because when I ran at higher rates my sound card got fucked up. Teamplay is nothing. Aim is everything. OBEY YOUR AIM

125hz I mainly play CS :X (Picks up flame-proof shield) and USB rate patches are usually not allowed at CS LANs. The same goes for drivers too, so my peripherals are plug and play. Although I feel I could adjust to LAN conditions if I had to, it's best to be 100% prepared so I don't perform terribly my first time on LAN (otherwise I might be called a cheater).

125hz ... and USB rate patches are usually not allowed at CS LANs. WoW, what on earth could spark such an idea in a LAN Organizers head ? Plain silly if you ask me =( (and I'm a 500Hz user...)

I know, I've tried arguing it too but the two main arguements they give: 1) Possibility of hardware damage. 2) Hard to determine the current setting of it (this is absolutely pointless because a lot of players use a registry fix patch and the only way to determine this is to either apply it or remove it using another fix). I think this is possibly tied in to the hardware damage because they think someone might plug in his or her peripherals and realize the mouse just died because it can't run at 1000hz. Agreed, absolutely silly. It could easily be fixed by a modified fix that automatically restarts the computer back to default settings once someone exits the program.

I use 500Hz on my MX300 because when it's at 1000Hz Quake3 sometimes drops mouse clicks or they seem to stick. 500Hz fixes the problem though. There is no idea so good that it can't be ruined by a few well-placed idiots.
