a test release, built fresh from today's CVS, should hopefully fix all issues with linked libraries (.dylib), loading of external textures and the PPC endian bug found in the last official release grab it hereplease keep any bug reports / problems in this thread instead of the previous threads about mac ezquake

Some buggs.
Cant paste from irc anymore. ctrl + v or apple + v doesnt work. Cant use shift to make BIG LETTERS.
Otherwise it works great.. =)

I have tryed shift in last build also, same problem. but in 1754, ctrl + v seems to work.

There have been some changes to the console code to introduce unicode stuff by Tonik made in the CVS. Maybe this is why stuff like that has stopped working...

Erm, I have just realized I have broken mac & linux builds with my Sys_GetClipboardData -> Sys_GetClipboardTextW change. Sorry.
I may also be responsible for the shift and ctrl-v problem; not sure what part of my Unicode changes could've caused that though.

I checked out the software client only. The only strange thing I noted --- besides those already mentioned --- was that I couldn't shoot while playing single player. Online or against frogs this did not occur. Yes, I was preparing to play through the levels yet again Good cheer to Oldman, Tonik and the eZquake crew! xhrl

i can confirm the shift bug. i only tried to fire up software once but all i got was a blank screen. the GL version works for me now. But it seems the aspect ratio is set to the cool new apple displays along their new computers. as my mini is connected to an oldschool 4:3 display running at 1280x1024 the image looks jolted regardless which resolution i select on startup. is there a cvar i have to toggle to get 4:3 aspect back?

gl mode at low res is weird. it's not stretching to the whole screen. ezquake-gl -width 320 -height 200 is there any way to use the zquake aspect ratio? with the black bars across the top and bottom? also sw mode is just a black screen. tried both fullscreen and windowed.

i may have another hint concerning the wrong aspect ratio. when i start in windowed mode the aspect ratio is wrong stretched too. but as soon as i try to resize the window the aspect ratio suddenly becomes right. the console font too. the background console background image vanishes.. but it is an improvement. maybe aspect calculation is wrong on init?
EDIT: actually _moving_ the window seems enough to get the aspect ratio corrected.. now if i could only "touch" it in fullscreen mode..

with ezquake.gl i get severe mouse lag, feels like the mouse input is delayed. there's something wrong with the graphics too (resolution probs, i tried 800x500 res). it looks like this also the rockets are flying much slower than normal. ez.sw runs very fine though. i'm on a new mbp.

have been thinking of buying a mac laptop and Q on it with a crt monitor hooked on it...
Any1 done it?
can u have high fps, high hz etc??

I get the same thing in gl, dEus. Even navigating through menus is delayed. vid_wait 0 can make that delay a little more bearable
I've been using the software version since the last update because the demo browser is broken for me (displays correct path at top, but no files are listed). Tried setting demo_dir, but doesn't help.

could be the multithreaded GL causing the mouse problems, i'll look into it

hmh yes, can't use shift, apple-v :| also the delay is there with a mouse plugged in or not.

Same here and with a friend. Everything looks a little slow... it's hard to get competitive matchs. It's impossible to get any airshots.

my version works as good as the one i use for PC exept for those type bugs. keep going ezquaketeam, you're doing a great work.

try fov 120 or fov 110, seems like u have fov 90
