I'm not on or have been on an art acadamy. I just always have been drawing, from as long as I can remember. ostx, that Lady Cottington book, has that maybe drawings of Brian Froud? Cos he is one of my favourite illustrators. If my drawings really reminds you of that....wow! Then I'm happy. Thanks.

Maybe it's just me, but I like the toebits the best. And for those who can't read it but really wants to know what is said on that piece of paper: "Oh, why can't there be magic for everyone?" "Some things just takes time little one." She said, as she gently put her hand on my head.

Yep Brian Froud! I really like his work and I love those books! I have a few, Pressed Fairy's, Pressed Pocket Fairies and the Goblin book which is really hilarious!!! Btw, I've seen you now and then in the dutch quake servers, it was really cool playing with you veel succes met de rest van je tekeningen!

Yeh seen you too on the server. I have only two books of Brian Froud. But hey, two is better then none. I have "Faeries" and "Good Faeries, Bad Faeries". Excellent books to take with you to bed and snooze away on those weird pixies and other trolls. I love how he uses all simular colours on a whole drawing and still manages to show a zillion of different creatures in there. And if I'm totally honest I like his pencil drawings, the quick sketches the best. Because that is the real work. I don't like it that he often escapes to photoshop to give some special effects to his works. :/ I see that as playing Quake with a wallhack or so.

haha I know what you mean. I also prefer his pencil work, it's more real and make the creatures stand out even better. I like what you can do with photoshop but I will always be for those who create with their hands, not with 1's and 0's, if you know what I mean. A real canvas with real paint looks so much better and really has more of a signature than something digital, that is all reproducable. The reliëf of the paint on the canvas, the smell, maybe the mistakes or little faults here and there make an art piece come to life! The same with music for that matter, since I study composition & music production

Ah yes! With music also, I rather have the rough and raw sounds as if its been done in a garage then the smooth licked studio sounds that takes away the soul of it all often.

But the strangeness of the looks was worthy to call it art. Nobody would recognise a pancake in it. Green pancakes are cool.

Green pancakes are toxic. It makes your hair.... red. Just look at your own pic

Nothing wrong with red hair. Besides, my toxic red came out of a pack.

Further I am in a lot of trouble. Some weird thingies on my motherboard are sort of exploded and they are leaking weird stuff..... So now I am on a new machine, forced, finally, since I have been delaying it too long already, and ehm...... I can't Quake anymore!!!!11!!!!!! Pure panic. Total horror. Now what. I need Qview, and normal Quake 1 and I need EZQuake and QuakeWorld and and.... I need to get rid of all those weird little error messages that are constantly screaming and yelling at me at my screen. I'm all frustrated now. Totally nerveous with sweaty hands and chills on my back. So far I have been able to get most of my passwords back for forums and stuff, so that is at least something. But man oh man.... I'm so confused. I have no idea anymore where to look or what to do. I hate computers. Computers hate me. I love Leffe Triple Beers. I'm calm. I'm cool. I'm breathing. I think.

I'm almost there! I'm almost there! EZQuake thingie .exe I have installed again. AND it seems working!!! YAY It had my name and my quakedress in pink&purple so I just am guessing and hoping that it will all work fine further. If not, I will have to fiddle with the cfg bits, but that's least of worry maybe. AAAAAAAaaaaaaand, my good old normal Quake seems to work again too! Man oh man. I'm so happy now. \o/

Oh, no wait, I said it a bit weird maybe. My quakedress is the colours 6 and 9, pink and purple, but my name is just only the B and V coloured in orange, the rest is white. And really Quake works again. HUZZAH!

[techy friend]: just tell me what the error message says [buur]: error message? What's that? [techy friend]: the sentence you get when you crash [buur]: but I'm not in my car right now [techy friend]: I meant the message in front of you, on your monitor [buur]: you mean the tv look-alike ? [techy friend]: yeah that's the one... ...patience indeed

And what the difference between EZQuake (nquake) and QuakeWorld is? I know QuakeWorld was opened back in 1998 for online use, that old website is still up but not running.
