I've had the following.

fUnc1030
Low friction but wears out after a while.

QPad
Nice soft feeling but the friction gets to high after a while and cleaning it didn't help much. (It's silent too )

Steelpad 4D
Low friction, wears out really quick (it's made of plastic). I've had mine for a month and the friction is already much higher. Maybe I just need to clean it but I'm not sure since when I wipe it the cloth gets a black from the plastic.

Does anyone know if steelpad makes a pad with the same surface as "Steelpad 4D" but made of steel?

apa ive been using the razer exactmat (speed) for a while, its dual-sided for high/low sens and its stood up quite well to lots of use. its a metal base with some sort of polymer finish.

I had packs of pads include func 1030, xtrac pro, qpad xxl, everglide titan and so on.
Noone from these pads wear out, becourse i always use teflon stickers for mouse.
Like mad dots: http://clife.ru/files/store_apendix_big42_39.jpg
or airglide: http://clife.ru/files/store_apendix_large501_176.jpg
or skatez pro: http://clife.ru/files/store_apendix_big582_493.jpg

Best feeling was:
Mad dots + msie3.0a + func 1030
and airglide + msie3.0a + qpad
With best wishes, B1aze.

I use them too actually. Maybe its because of my low sense that they wear out quicker.

I'm currently using a QPAD CT White 4mm XL and I love it. Only had it for about a month so I can't say anything about it wearing down. It's the smoothest cloth pad I've ever used. The only problem is it's expensive and I also use Hyperglides for my Logitech G1 so it doesn't wear it down quickly. The Hyperglide mouse skates are suppose to be put in place of the mouse feet (take out mouse feet, use alcohol swab to clean it, put hyperglides in) but putting them directly on top of the mouse feet works better.

I hear the XRay-Pad AQUA3 doesn't stick to most surfaces well so I recommend avoiding it.

i use a everglide titan

i have used many pads before, mainly pads made out of plastic and i always was looking for pads with less friction.
but now i have the everglide titan, which is made out of cloth, and its really nice. i have more friction than every other mousepad i used before. I thought more friction would be a bad thing, but for me i found out that this isnt the case .
im a mid-high sens player and i have a really nice "mouse-feeling" while playing with this pad.

do you already know what kind of mousepad you tend towards to?

Hm... not really nice to start a topic about mousepads whenever someone wants to buy a new one. On the subject: I recommend steelpad 5L. Not too expensive, and is just the best pad i've ever had. Cloth on top, solid plastic inside, rubber thingies on bottom and it doesnt move! (i used to stick my previous pads with glue so they dont move when i play). Also, this one was recommended to me by some pr0playahs

Cloth is better. no plastic/steel/glass/whatever beats the cloth feeling

Steelpad 5L is indeed good. i bought razer mantis and its excellent also.
never argue with an idiot. they'll bring you back to their level and then beat you with experience.

Steelpad 4D. Although I agree that it is worn out quickly. I'll probably bug one made of metal the next time. But then I'll probably need new skatez each month instead

The Razer Mantis Speed mat is highly recommendable if you're into "low sense". I use about 25 cm for a 360 degree turn and my Razer Krait travels very smoothly and swiftly across the fine cloth surface.

I use cloth Steelpad Qck+ -- big and not expensive. I'm a high sens player (5 cm for a 360 degree turn) and so I cut the pad in two parts. :-)

Everglide Titan is a really zazzy mousing surface.

I'm much more accurate on it than I was when using a pad of paper. :-D

They're pretty hooj and reasonably priced.

ZAZZ
There is no idea so good that it can't be ruined by a few well-placed idiots.
