glquake fps is around 100-30 if I play on internet server. On localhost fps is stable 100 (max fps in set by drivers?) and it's playable. So it seems that unstable fps is related to internet connection. vga quake works fine, only some random fps drops but thats all.

My system is amd 2600+, 1 G RAM and radeon 9800 pro (catalyst 7.2) and motherboard is epox rda3.

you should get way more fps than that anyway :/
but i think ezquake isnt really supported on vista yet, but talk to the guys on #ezQuake on quakenet or you may get your answer here.

I recommend turning some of the vista's shit off, like the thingy that copies popular stuff from hdd to ram and other weird shit.

openGL needs to be optimized by ur graphic card manufactor because windows dont have openGL drivers by default like in previous windows versions.

This quote was on aq2 forum. So opengl games doesn't work in vista/radeon...

"Note: The following ATI features are not supported in the Catalyst® Vista RTM driver for the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system:
· CrossFire™
· Catalyst® Control Center Video aspect page
· OpenGL
· VIVO support
· The capture driver for these products is not being updated at this time"

it seems that when i'm connected to qw server whitch is not on my localhost, windows has to write something to my pagefile.sys. So it seems that this is not gf card issue, but hd lag. I tried it without firewall and defender but that doesn't help at all.

Oh, i forgot to mention that max fps is fine now. it's just lack of performance now. in xp it's stable 300 fps, but only 60-80 in vista when action starts. playing 1on1 only is not an option!
