Is there a way to run quakeworld and msn messenger at the same time without getting a stupid msn window across half the screen as soon as someone logs in? If you know what I mean.

turn off the "friend login alert" in msn options

or try other client, i use miranda and I've got all msg services all in one. icq/msn/jabber

Like Drugs-Bunny said. You could also disabled the noise made by a contact when they sign in or send a message etc. Having msn sound on fucks up the sound in QW for me sometimes.

I wonder how it works with MSN 7 but it only notifies me about ONE person when she gets online, nobody else, is it because she's special?

you can use Yahoo Messenger and import MSN contacts in it. i have no problems with it.

er and how would that be? I have used so many communicators just to realise MSN is the best one

Heh Aquashark. I agree: MSN sucks, but to be honest I find Yahoo Messenger even worse.
