is there a difference if its an oldskool mac or intel mac?

Yes, the "old" Macs are PowerPCs which is a different architecture compared to Intel's x86.

the only different should be the endian-ness
zquake and ezquake should both compile, they'll just need tweaks to the Makefile
hopefully ill be getting a macbook pro at some point and should be able to help out with binaries if you don't have any success on your own

very cool oldman! just wondering whether alsa sound could be used instead of sdl? i understand it is processes a tad bit swifter...is this so? btw, could you link me to the latest zqwcl version for os x? thanks heaps in advance oldman! ///xhrl

osx doesn't have alsa
my zquake stuff used native coreaudio, it didn't use sdl for sound only for graphics and input
