The only person I know who uses mouse acceleration is myth, and he uses really high accel and an even higher sensitivity. Cyan doesn't use mouse accel and it takes him about 5cm MAX to do a 360. He said myth's sensitivity is roughly four times faster than that.

I don't. I presume you know the reason why mouse accel is not used by most. ?!

I don't. Apparently acceleration works well in Quake 3/4 with certain settings. Lots of top q3/4 players use it. I don't know any qw player who uses it tho.

Plazmaz, it is preference, but it does make the movement more static, and therefore easier to predict/more reliable, without accel. It's just one more thing to memorise, namely the speed at which you're supposed to move you're mouse to yield the desired sensitivity.
