I started adapting and making some high quality textures for the kenya map 'Hate', here are some shots. http://falzzi.wippiespace.com/qw/hate/hallway.jpg http://falzzi.wippiespace.com/qw/hate/mharea.jpg http://falzzi.wippiespace.com/qw/hate/raroom.jpg I couldn't really find a theme that would fit the map 100% perfectly. This is what I came up with... The map looks kinda monotonous right now, but hey this is quakeworld right? Comments and suggestions are very welcome!

don't expect constructive criticism from Spirit I often spent a lot of time for constructive criticsism, didn't think it was necessary here. Well, here we go: The wall textures would work for some crypta or cellar, they don't work in a mixture with base/industrial elements like those yellow stripes and lamps. It looks like the worst Deus Ex levels: Lowpoly walls (1 poly rather) with "detailed" textures. Oh, well. I just wanted to link to http://qwdrama.com/2007/06/25/top-10-most-disgusting-qw-graphics/ then saw Falzzi's comments there and decided not to write anything more here. Would be a waste of time.

Sorry if theres not enough brown for you in those textures.

Hello that's a article, it's just the opinion of the author about the subject, and it's not the only opinion in the world. One of the most important things about Quake, is the ability the user has to personalize the way the game looks like. And the way I like the appearance of my Quake, is my personal opinion and for that I do not need the approval or agreement of anybody else. I like these textures, this theme reminds me UT (one of my favourite shooters). Of course, i don't like some textures here and here, but they are easy to replace. Keep up the good work. BTW Spirit, don't you think that Falzzi's theme is much more solid than original? I mean, look at this ugly green brick wall, some modern lights and walls, floor etc. It looks like mix of spaceship, abandoned building, VERY old castle, and really dirty bathroom. Map author made awesome work when it comes to layout, but his taste of style is awful

Well, I agree 80% with JohnNy_cz over there. I have my own opinion. My opinion on these textures is that they look awful for the reasons I mentioned (and others I can't be arsed to write about because it would just be a waste of time).

Great 1on1 map, never tried it in 2on2 though. ---Where can you see lions? Only in kenya! Come to kenya we've got lions.
