Remember those posters that said, "Today is the first day of the rest of your life"? Well, that's true of every day but one - the day you die...

Hello,
I like to join in and mention some impressive guitarists here that are less known to most people out there.... If you like the guitar, you'll be more then pleased with some of these guys and there's different playing styles in this post, so I think there's one player for everyone's taste.
As the videos posted here will show, I've always had an interest in people who truly 'mastered' an instrument and totally go for the art of playing in itself to express themselves via the instrument. All of these video's are Live videos, and there's more to be found of any of these musicians - I'll just post 1-3 videos of each. There's both electric- and acoustic guitar stuff here, as well as finger- and pickstyle players.
ACOUSTIC STUFF:
Here's a nice uplifting fingerstyle song by Eric Roche: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTa6_ug4k_k
Andy Mckee, great acoustic fingerstyle extraordinaire : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ddn4MGaS3N4&feature=related
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JsD6uEZsIsU&feature=related
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tn1d5DmdMqY&feature=related
Don Ross, who has inspired Andy Mckee: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkidVP0AcQ8
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0mUeDuMgXs
Tommy Emmanuel playing 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow': http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZNJf-h7F8s
Here's Pat Metheny, playing 'Into The Dream', which sounds a bit like 'ambient' music on a guitar... a guitar that probably won't fit in an average case: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XYkcNmdQu0
Paco De Lucia & John McLaughlin: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83ud_l-RHYE
ELECTRIC STUFF
Gutrhie Govan can play pretty much all styles. Here he has fun with the country style, in front of live audience at NAMM 2005 in the USA, which sounds and looks funny, uplifting and impressive to me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NyRB8d7S4xc&NR=1
Guthrie is apparently hired to promote the sales of backing tracks like this one, over which he improvises like a maniac: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUZK9dasP8s&feature=related
Jimmy Bruno, a great jazz guitarist: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5681905126221059173&ei=9EDySLnuJ42uiAKDiJ3vDg&q=jimmy+bruno
Michael Landau, a studio musician who has come out with his own music shares a song of his... check out the solo in this one (audio quality is not so good, but it's still worth it): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_asaBet8u5g#
This is Shawn Lane, starting out slowly and then goes in an intense moment of playing with the spirit of Hendrix, mixed with his rare technical mastery: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xpzLTJ_9twc
Here's Frank Gambale, who plays one of his own classics, which is ofcourse played Live: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=579UZXOpeUw
Lot's more videos that I like to share...but....well... this will have to do for now

megalodon: You should talk to jogi. He's into guitar wankery too. Wow... you mean there's actually another person on this forum who listens to musicians who actually bother to learn how to play an instrument properly?
