Next question then.. pointed to the ezteam. Should we expect a securitymodel before EQL starts? If no .dll is released i guess we have to go back to build 1754 or something

Yes. But for a new version 1.8.2 which will only very slightly differ from 1.8 (mostly fixes and a few small improvements).

And for all those of you who don't want to fuck around with obscurity modules or who just wants to fix the latest round of bugs and still be able to play, here's a patch:

And the readme is here:

Edit: Rule #6. This kind of behaviour will not be tolerated. You have been warned.

I use 1.9, 1.8 is buggy for me :<

You can use the patch above to make the obscurity module work on 1.9 (or any other version).

Having read rule 6, I'm still unsure which part of it I violated. Exactly which "cheats, cracks, or hacks which disrupt modern multiplayer games" did I distribute?

Oh well, nevermind, if you want to continue living in a dream world where the impossible is somehow possible and want to live with a security theatre, then go right ahead. Luckily most people are smart enough to use Google anyway.

Rule #1 - ...take it to a private message or to IRC - keep personal flamewars away from the forum...
