I have such a problem. I have no mouse3, mouse4 and mouse5 reaction- only in software. In GL everything works fine. Have to mention that mhweels working fine too.
Any suggestions?

Which mouse and mouse managing software do you have installed ?

i downloaded new ezq and my mouse doesnt work in quake anymore....
in gl everything is still fine... any help?

Says it's only for GL, but might as well play around with in_* variables and in_restart

EzQuake 1.8 sw bug. If you goto windowed and back to fullscreen, it'll work but that's a hassle. Because EzQ 1.8sw has pretty much nothing new from 1754 sw and that's fine, just go with that.

I returned to 1754 version... mouse working but additional buttons still dont. Theres no in_ variables in 1754, only in 1.8. Any suggestions?

Dunno if this could still have some mouseware connection, but prolly just mousestuff somehow differently done in software. I don't use any mousesoftware and all my (many) mice have had their buttons (at least upto 5) working without any mwhook shit. But since it works for you in GL, I don't really think there's a problem on the OS side of things :/
