Few days ago all of a sudden my quake started to get white lines and to lag. i didnt change anything. i downloaded nquake then. in the beginning everything was fine. it somehow it seemed, that it has something to do when i put in new skins and models. but after some putting files in and deleting them again it was ok. i played a bit and spectated game. suddenly the white lines came back. anyone knows what to do??

and it seems only some textures are affected by this problem. sometimes weapons as well. on one picture you can see the lines on GA. RA does have the lines as well. YA not.

Just found this on ztndm3

Very strange? Tried to reinstall drivers? (clean uninstall from safe mode) Using coolbits for overcloking? Overclocking cpu? Then dont Those artifacts could be a matter of overheated gpu (most likely), or just broken drivers, or even virus :/

yeeep, like jOn said. overheating GPU/overclocked too much. even if it didn't use to give u those artifacts, it might still be too much overclocked, and it was just a matter of time to appear.

What's is the temperature of your gfx card at that time ? You can use nTune to check it, available on the nvidia homepage.

sensor's could easily report wrong temperatures cause of malfunctioned chips or slightly misplaced.. might want to get your own thermometer

or just run 3d game, and stick your fingers to the back of your gpu. if it hurts/heats like hell - you know your answer then....
