FOV 124 (at a 16:10 ratio which equals 115 at 4:3) and a viewheight of -6.

There's one advantage of using lower fovs if you like playing other 3d games from time to time. Many game studios still believe they know better what fov you need and cheerfully lock it at 90, what else? So you're more comfortable (or, rather, less uncomfortable) playing such games if your Quake fov is, say, 110 and not 130.

A lot of games have truly horrible fovs. I'm not sure but did Oblivion have like fov 70 default and changing it was very tricky. I tend to skip games that don't allow changing fov to a reasonable value.

Molgrum, if you were 90/60/90 you'd have a chance to see his zoom.... but I doubt it in the current state of things

Viewheight -6 (aligns rockets with crosshair).

170 is the max. I use 122 now on an 8:5 screen. Quite a drop from the 133 I used on a 4:3 screen in the good old days

I played with fov 110 for 7 or 8 years. Few weeks ago I changed to 95 and I aim better than ever. With all weapons not just LG.

Maximum depends on client. EzQuake seems to cap at 140.

i used to play with 107.5 using 4:3 screen.
Changed to 113 when playing on 8:5. Aim sucks tho, but doubt it's cos of the fov
