i don't actually play much quake, but i work on quake related things because i think it's a good hobby because quake is the best game ever (combo #1 #4)

i play Quake because it has rock solid gameplay, great atmosphere/universe. also new content that pops up all the time keeps me interested and i like to follow the progress of numerous Quake projects

yes, it is THE best game ever! but it shares the podium with other games in my book

its a nice game and also my cpu sux too much to play other games

It allows me to relax, because you just have to completely focus on what you are doing in the game not to lose. Therefore for 10 minutes you completely forget about all the other worries bugging your mind for the whole day.
Maybe this applies for other games too, but QW drags your mind SO MUCH that I felt it has to be said here.

Anyway: physics and speed of the game engine, and great base for a lot of interesting side projects to create and manage. Feels... Home!
