Really cool. Now we need vweps to become standard! Could you make sshots with Prime 24 bit skins? Old quakeguy looks silly compared to gun he is holding

Old quakeguy looks silly compared to gun he is holding I decided to do that first before the lg actually! heh, that's without the 24-bit texture. just imagine how much nicer its going to be I might change around the rl standing position, because its not wobbling enough with the player. but you guys tell me what you think

Haha! By saying "Could you make sshots with Prime 24 bit skins?" i was thinking about screenshots of player with 24 bit Primevil skin (player skin) holding rl... xD But double barreled looks cool also

When you finish your work, could you (PLEASE) provide a tutorial of v_wep's convertion? I want to convert some models and I don't want to bug you asking to convert things for me! It can also prevent others to bug you too! :p

the lower screenshot with the green skinned player on aero really looks like 'quakeworld 2.0' if you know what i mean . again, great job with the models so far! i'm still looking very much forward to any improvement on the single sg situation. i guess that model would require even more work and might need more than one person working on it, but still, seeing these pics i can't help but want moar..

QoetiaB4 has a g model for the first shot gun, its i guess just a doublebarrleshotgun modified to be a single

it looks a lot better, its probably from DME. now if only I can get PrimeviL to texture this the way he did his v_shot so it matches the db shotgun

LOOKS GREAT! But, can I please make one minor coment, can you resize the guns down to the same size as the "psuedo" gun on the player model? In the screenies they look a bit big :| but otherwise NICE JOB!

will these models be GPL compliant or at least legal in the sense that I can include them in nQuake?

I call the "psudeo" gun the "universal cannon"

so if anyone is still interested in this project, I'm going to try and finish Plague's grenade launcher today. I hope PrimeviL can re-texture that sg model. Prime, if you see this. get back to me and I'll send you the model! =]

anyone is still interested you're kidding right? only reason i'm not posting daily in this thread is because i don't want to build too much pressure the GL looks super sweet. is it me or does it look a bit shorter than the RL? not neccessarily a bad thing though. each release looking gorgeous so far, looking forward to a complete set!

anyone is still interested you're kidding right? only reason i'm not posting daily in this thread is because i don't want to build too much pressure the GL looks super sweet. is it me or does it look a bit shorter than the RL? not neccessarily a bad thing though. each release looking gorgeous so far, looking forward to a complete set! well three reasons for that. 1. as far as I know, the rl hurts a lot. so it should be the biggest 2. the way Plague made his model. he had fancy gun handles that curved and I tried scaling this so many times so they fit good in the hands. this is probably the best I can get it. 3. if I made it any longer, the back end of the model would be too far into the player. that's the challenge of making vweps, the player animations were made only for the "universal cannon" or "pseudo" gun support is what keeps this going! =]

I'll post daily to keep up the pressure! That GL looks 10x!!! I can't imagine how much time this must be taking you to tweak/size/position/etc but the way it's looking your efforts are very much appreciated! KEep it going you're doing a GREAT job!

Here's something that I found relating to modeling that might be interesting to some people out there wanting to use md3 player models for quake possibly...

I havent check it out but, one feature of this program is the ability to take serveral .md3 files and create a single .md3 model IE a .md3 player model uses 3 models and "tags" them together via the engine. I know eZQuake might be lacking support for tagged models so maybe this would help???
