Have a big problem with powerup lag. When i take a powerup my fps drops to 0 for 1 sec. Even when someone else takes one it drops. I run ezquake-gl. Did test nquake some days ago and the problem wasn't there so it must be something in my config.
Any ideas?

24bit skins for powerupped players might be causing this.

same problem here, and yes, it is the skins.

any chance to preload the skins to ram? when starting up ezq for example.
is there a solution besides using 8bit skins or no powerup skins at all?

Ye it was the skins . That sucks i love those skins.

thnx guys now i dont need to wonder about that anymore..
but i dont have that kind of fps-drop but there's a little anoying lag the first time anyone gets powerup.
