I know IRC but I don't use it, I don't like it either.

Ok, just thought you might want to reconsider to get access to a flourishing rookie Quakeworld community. It's up to you though! www.facebook.com/QuakeWorld

Yeah, I guess it's a pretty cool thing but I'm usually way too busy with my own things (school, etc.). And I don't really like chatrooms anymore, neither did I ever liked the program IRC. I'll just get on here now and then and check the servers. Thanks tho!

Let me just clarify that Quake-orientated IRC is not really "chatroom" stuff - People don't usually sit on there and "chat". It's simply the easiest and fastest way for you to get a reply about any Quake-related question that you might still have. Also, it's by far the most efficient way for you to find a rookie duel opponent since you can just park yourself on #qwrookie and wait for people to write "Any rookies wanna duel?", or write it yourself for that matter. So stop ovulating and check it out you noob. _________________________________________________________ Save a cow, crucify a christian!

I just downloaded IRC for Mac. I'm gonna try it out! Hopefully I'll meet up with some of the other rookies then. *EDIT: Okay... so I opened up IRC. Its a program I always hated LOL So where do I join or open up the server/channel? I gotta put "#QWRookie" somewhere... but I have no idea were. I also need a server name obsiously, but can't find that either. Hmmm.... :?:

huh,... there's plenty of irc guides around. that irc client for mac must of have a command prompt (where u write stuff) in there write: /server irc.quakenet.org - this will connect to a quakenet irc server /j #qwrookie - will join #qwrookie channel /j #qwhelp - #ibh - #nqr - #..........so many others i think u dont like it because u dont get it should be tutorial videos on youtube also. try to write on youtube: "irc tutorial" Welcome and have fun. prepare for some challenge! never argue with an idiot. they'll bring you back to their level and then beat you with experience.
