fitzquake is a GLQuake based client, if you want to play vs bots for multiplayer practice download
nQuake, thats a QuakeWorld package and it has bot's included thats ready to go by just using the bot_1on1 or bot_ffa commands.

Man, what exactly do you want to play? It's hard to recommend you some stuff.
I know of no bots for the missionpacks, no idea if there are some.

lol i just remember what i used to play so its all flooding back. i must admit i never remember bots running on the mission packs. that must be why most of the clients are only based on quake the original.

There are bots that learn levels themselves, like the old Reaper bots and improved versions of the Reaper. They are not QW bots. But these kind of bots are clearly 'bots'

Frikbot X and Frogbots are the only ones worth to try imo. Frogbots are included in nQuake, google for Frikbot X.

If you can still find it, try the Borg bot out. It is just like the Borgs from star trek.
They develop resistance to your weapons. So you have to switch weapons while attacking them. The bots move slow, and start out with one weapon. But if you die, and they grab your pack, a new Borg spawns. The resistance to your weapons is a real pain. Its not anything that you want to train yourself with, but the Borg bot is fun to play.
