No, it isn't. I have a movie with the world records on all of the Q1 single player maps. The movie is 17 minutes long and depicts different players speedrunning through the entire game - the total game time is 12 minutes. The demos in the movie are all from Nightmare skill - but playing at lower skill level actually increases the time some levels take, as you will see if you get hold of the movie.
