It would be very nice if you could make the whole filename lowercase, eg v_rock.MD3 -> v_rock.md3 In Linux (and prolly MacOS too) the case matters and thus engines won't load the model/texture/whatever. I gave the armor textures some more saturation (especially on the respective color), imo it looks better if the colors do "stand out" a bit. The yellow armor for example is pretty saturated in the original. It's hard to hit the right spot. :\

oh, didn't know that... the md3 exporter does the upercasing so i haven't bothered to change it since i didn't think it would bother anyone..

Ruohis! its awesome that you're still workin. thank you for making more releases. i think the lightning bolt looks great, i like the details and how the rods are connected, but the one thing i still don't like is how the base looks wide and rounded, in-game. i will say this; it looks very good in fov 90. but, i only play in fov 105+ and it looks odd in 105+ fov 105: fov 90: the grenade launcher has a good shape to it, & the moving inner barrel is a sweet idea and you've done it well! i think the texture could use some work: i like the rough "bumpmapped" texture, but overall it looks a bit cartoony in game. i upgraded the textures a bit, so download again and get the fresh versions, made some changes to the gl texture, a bit more blueish and a bit less orange, and the lg a bit more light and some other tiny tweaks, also note that in between this and the last post i did a new rl texture as well and naturally all will be tweaked once people give me ideas of what to fix, so thanks for the feedback purplehaze now back to the ssg, ng and sng might take a while to texture... :/

nice work, the gl looks awesome. for some reason the md3 armors dont work for me, where to put the files exactly on ezquake? the model shows, but the texture doesnt.

i have no idea (if it's even possible with the current ezquake md3 support) how to apply multiple textures on a model such as the armor, so use the mdl still got a few ideas on what to improve on the armors when i have the time, i'll keep you posted

ah ok, was just wondering cause the md3 weapons work. i tried the mdl armor, they look nice, but the colors are way too bright with gamma 0.4 and they look a bit clean, a 'used' look with some scratches would be nice ;p

still had time to work some magic on the ssg texture http://www.kolumbus.fi/ruohis/temp/new/v_shot2.rar (more models with new textures on the previous page) oh... btw, big thanks to primevil, as you may notice i have used bits and parts of his textures because he has the same style as i'm going for how would theese naiglun barrels look like?

I don't really like the sng barrels, it doesn't look like Quake. Fantastic job on the ssg though, that does look like Quake all the way. Keep it up! Help me understand the little that I know.

Could you put up all of these at the first post? Some feedback: I think the RL looks kinda thin and smooth, maybe work on that a little? Also make the kickback more like GL ---Where can you see lions? Only in kenya! Come to kenya we've got lions.

the sg and ssg barrels are too shiny and light gray I think. But apart from that the rl, gl and lg looks awesome.

great to see ruhois back... you and primeevil can do great things in qw! i am eternally grateful for both of you! work as a team to get stuff done! But, only when i think that they are completed, won't make any official releases with half done models or crappy textures. When i'm done with the v_models i'll put up a new thread for the completed models, this is only a thread where i post to get feedback, and what better way than giving you the unfinished models to test ingame your self. i was just lookin thru an older model pack from ruohis and there is a ton of good work that seems everyone has overlooked! thanks for noticing, i'we been thinking wtf when people have asked me to do a ring, pent and quad... when they are already done, and only thing that may change in those models is the texture, the model should be 100% and regarding the nails in the above screenshot: made the top of the nail a bit smaller to better match that witch can be seen in the b_models..

Edit: you might notice some minor distortion in the texture of the ssg, I'll try to fix that soon... And also, sg and ssg barrels are a little bit darker since someone said they where too shiny. Still haven't done anything to the rl texture/model. Main thing these past days have been to work on some decent looking ng and sng textures.
