Ruohis' page is down, and with it are all the models. Is project is dead? There's no update for almost a year and seems like no one cares :-(

There's no update for almost a year and seems like no one cares :-( Well, it seems to be that way since it really is that way. Lets turn it around and say that its only a few people who cares about the graphics in qw. I'm pretty sure the majority of players are using crappy settings for graphics. QW is only about feeling, timing and skill, not "eyecandy"-graphics imo, and thats probably the reason why most people don't care much for projects like this.

May at least someone, who has the stuff that was on Ruohis' page, upload it somewhere, even on Rapidshare or whatever?

But there is still an entire Quake community out there, and not all of the players are all about QW low quality graphics. I, for one, play a lot more Singleplayer in this game than multiplayer, and I enjoy every new model/graphic that comes out for this game.

I never really left, just been elsewhere, couldn't remember my password, until I had an epiphany and here I am, my e-mail wasn't the same either so couldn't get a new password But as they say, better late than never Everything is reuploaded here: Ruohis.com, and there's a bunch of new stuff for those who only visit this quake forum

thanks, i had some problem with my old isp and one of my e-mails got lost, and it took some time before i got it unlocked to be used as an address to my existing mailbox.. that combined with all kinds of other stuff that kept me away from quake modeling for a few years, until a user from quakeone.com forums sent me an e-mail

So next time, don't let that keep you away

Ok, so why is it that your ruohis_b_models.zip is not actually your pack, and not the pack shown in the screenshot on your site? As far as I can see it is the edited pack by Seven/OoPpEe with non-faithful b_batt0/b_batt1 models, while your originals are faithful. I get that it's cool with all the shader/luma/gloss etc, but really you should stick to your own version, they are much better (with faithful glasses on). I haven't checked the full pack yet, but also the rocket ammo is edited, if I am not mistaken.
