When using r_rockettrail "12" (thin smoketrail) it sometimes disappears when playing on a crowded server. When playing 1on1 it's possible to see interrupts in the smoke trail, and when playing on xs4all ffa the whole trail may disappear (not get drawn at all) sometimes!
Is there anything i can do about this?

yes, r_particles_count 999999, cfg_save, quit, start quake

i guess the problem is with a cvar that cut some particles when there is too much onscreen... i don't remember its name now, but it isn't r_particles_count...
