someone correct me if i'm wrong, but i think for the newest ezquake you need os x 10.5.
edit: ok try entering this in terminal:
this made ezquake start:
cp /Applications/nQuake/EZQuake-GL.app/Contents/SharedSupport/libjpeg.dylib /opt/local/usr/libjpeg.62.dylib

my friend had the exact same problem you described on his MAC, but i don't know anything about MACs so I couldn't help him. I hope you solve this problem so I can show him this thread.

No No.. The library is provided with the EZQuake.app. The problem is that old EZQuake 1.9 for mac searches for that library in the wrong directory. You can copy the library manually to that location or upgrade the .app from the ezquake-1.9b zip from the EZQuake homepage. The latest 1.9.2 should also be fine. Please report if otherwise. I might be possible that the nQuake installer was not updated to get the fixed binary - I'm not sure.
p.s. you can create the directory safely on your mac system. it is normal that the directory does not exist. it will get created only if you install the "macports" software.

LOL
It works.. thanks a lot Tuna.
Addallis, say your friend to download nquake installer and then download the lastest 1.9.2 ezquake from ezquake page, it gonna work.
ezquake from nquake it seens to be bugged for OS X 10.4.11 . Make sure that pak0.pak and pak1.pak is in ~/id1/
Thanks all you guys,
cya.
