I want an update to the QTV-page so it looks sexier and it gets easier to overview more servers (this is already under progress, just waiting for Johnny_cz to code the css)
And I want smarter updates of servers into the serverbrowser. Scenario: Fog get 5 new servers up up foggy.mine.nu:x. Solution: dosping that dns to get ip, copy ip, paste into eu-sv.txt and duplicate for all 5 ports. This sucks. Some smart automation of this would be awsome... Join us on discord.quake.world

Just use master.quakeservers.net instead? Or is it because you want only EU servers?

yes, only servers that gives me 12-25 ping = EU servers, plus I'd prefer a list with few, good, lowping servers and FAST updating time in SB - rather than more, slower, and "dead" servers... Join us on discord.quake.world

in newer versions of ezQuake, the serverbrowser should be able to handle hostnames

the team duel shit could be fun Me dueling would be boring for me, the guy winning, and the specs. :| It doesn't work because not everybody plays all the modes.

Personally I don't want anything (I'd vote "new maps" but there's plenty of maps out there, just players are too conservative to play them).
But if I can vote for newcomers, they want to not get respawnfragged 3 or more times in a row.

blAze, still that would be a challenge for your team Not every team has 4 good duel players, so deciding who should play first, second and third would be quite the challenge.

yeah, guides could help a lot to the rookies but i still prefer the idea that once per a week a div1 give learning lessons through ventrillo while rookies watching the same demo I've thought about a tactics department on this forum where QW DM tactics can be discussed. I mean, instead of having a person dedicate much time to doing live-guidance from a demo you could aswell do it via this forum. A rookie could upload his own demo or point out some other demo on Challenge-TV and ask people to post thoughts about a specific player's behaviour in a game, kinda like demo reviews. That would be cool Ake. For me, the problem is that guides often require the reader's brain to be turned up to maximum in order to digest all of the information. It would be good if specific situations could be discussed, rather than an overall picture of the map.

I don't think it has to be any more complicated than that. I would be gladly the first objective of this kind of analysis

So ok, let's recap stuff ever since. We have got now: 1) New/different tournaments - 50% - EQL has changed a bit, hopefully for the better - QWDL is starting soon - Phil's tournaments (aerowalkage) - Quake Nations Cup - Challenges 2) More features (specify) - 5% - Stats site - QWFwd, slight changes to QTV (more about that later) - Upcoming ezQuake 1.9.3 3) New/different game modes - 17% - I really hope we can get the CA in KTX some day, but... 4) New maps - 23% - Players, please, play other maps once in a while, all of them arent shitty, it's really up to you. A "How to setup your own server" guide with every puny little detailed included Ever heard of ktx.qw-dev.net wiki section or our team's server packages? It's been there for almost 1½ years now. I want polygonal damage/collision model, but i think no one will like it. Its too easy to hit and kill people now, and quake becomes a something like crimson land, not a great atmospheric shooter as it was at times i've seen it first. And square bounding box is ugly anyway - it affects jumping around corners not the best way.. About collisions - it's looking awful when you're chasing someone, just touch him - and that's reduces your velocity to zero ))

FTE supports 'hitmodel'.. which means traces are able to hit models instead of just bboxes, just use a different flag in the relevent tracelines (same method as using non-forced anti-lag). I wouldn't recommend using it though. It makes lag worse as now frames matter too, not just positions. It also doesn't really work so well/at all with projectiles where frames can move through projectiles without colliding... Which means you never hit anything, except with explosions.
I agree with the chasing someone issue... If its moving away, your velocity should be clipped to their velocity, not to a stationary (0, 0, 0) velocity...

I would like to see some CTF servers, with no special shit. 3 or 4 new CTF maps (symetrical ones, not single player maps transformed into CTF maps), DM phsyics, no runes, no hooks. I would love to jump on a server with a ctf going on. And since it would be new maps rookies and mediocre players playing CTF a lot could become equal to good DM player who are playing CTF just from time to time. I would enjoy a Quakelive CTF Mod too but with qw physics.

Voted for game modes: I'd like something like NTF from the cpm-scene it's fucking awesome, tho the lack of strength in some qw weps would have to change :/ hell even some qw CTF without that fucking hook would be real fun! and other: camquake ;D

Id like to change gl_lightning 1 = particle shaft to black I cant get gl_lightning_color to work using 50 50 50
mabey a selectable menu in options/graphics/shaftstyle/then colors to choose from???
if you know how to bet it black tell me gl_lightning 1 that is = particle shaft
