i dunno if im wrong...but i'm sure the standard player skin in pez's movie had a much greater richness of colour to it and looked great

pez: was this a) due to post-processing effects or b) did you use a modified base.pcx or c) do i have bad eyesight?

can you not upscale base.pcx to a 24-bit .png file and then apply the same effect to the skin itself?

oldman, how to use 24bit player skins?

well obviously in fuhquake/ezquake you can't have topcolour/bottomcolour as well as 24bit skins, but you can have gl_nocolors 1 and use a single 24bit playerskin which would be fine as baseskin
