quick question nr 1 : my monitor does 150 hz max, am I missing anything by playing 150 hz 154 fps vs 154 hz 154 fps ?

any tips?



quick question nr 2 : I can't hear spawns so good which are a bit away from me in the game, it's not my ears or placebo i'm certain of it..


spawns that I should hear don't sound at all only the ones who are really close.. :E

anything I can do? using headphones btw and switching between headphones/2speakers/4speakers in audio setup in windows didn't help :/

This might be placebo, but I'm hearing things better when using s_khz 11 instead of s_khz 44 (or 22) .. Either it is some lossy resamplng that makes 44 Khz sounds worse or it's simply a matter of me being used to the certain sounds in 11 khz that i've been using since I started playing.

s_khz 44 sux, way to bright sound, and hurts your ears too. Im using s_khz 11 always

Yes, you are. That missing last 4Hz is the most important factor in the game making you new hib, especially when coming from 85Hz.

Buy better monitor that can do 154Hz?

Let's see, very lately (like a day or two ago) biomass changed some code in ezQuake, allowing more than 8 sounds at the same time. If that was the case then you should go for the latest nightly build and test it.

is it really that bad renzo? I use 100hz and 154 fps, works fine :>

try physfps 75 maxfps 150 displayfreq 150, vsync 1, vsync lag fix 1, maybe it'll feel better, maybe not

Bad advice, will look better but certainly BE better.
