seeing maps.qw.nu coming up in the wishlist discussion recently, my interest reappeared and I decided to give it a go myself (some know that I quit the qw.nu team about maps.qw.nu dragging for years).

Please go ahead and fill in missing information. Rate and tag the ~2700 maps. Report missing screenshots and malfunctioning downloads (using tags like broken:download, broken:screenshots etc).

I know that something went wrong with some of the files in 0-9, part of their filename got cut before importing to the database. Damn. Also something weird happened to gmdm1.zip and there are two gmdm1...
It would probably be a good idea to make a file dump with all files and then only invest more time into a (well-rated) selection. Thoughts?

Please do rate maps. I want to weed out the crap. If you do, maps.qw.nu might benefit too as hopefully a small number of actually good maps will crystallise. I will delete bad stuff from my archive and the leftover might be good for everyone. Everything is free to reuse as you like, tags, screenshots, etc.

Would there be interest of a "all the fucking files"-torrent (~1.3 Gigabytes)? I would really really like to spread these files before removing them.

It died out so I crunched numbers. I gave each map a starting value of 0. A "Yes" vote would add 1, a "No" subtract 1. A skip would subtract 0.1, I thought that was a good to weight it in.

seems like a really cool way to review maps or at least filter out the really bad ones to focus a true review on the ones that at least look worthwile. But then you need more votes then you had so far.
I wonder what more you can do with something like this. Maybe you can even use it as a captcha: which of these looks more appealing?

Are the screenshots made automatically? Some are mising or do not show up at least.

Yes, I was hoping for a bigger participation. It's a start though.

It is a hacky mess. Screenshots were made with scripting. And the thing tries linking to a zip with the same basename as the bsp file.
