well if i read a thread, the "new posts" sign doesn't go away

same here, though i think logging out and in again solves it.

when i login and logout, it marks every thread marked as read..

BTW why does the page propagate session ID in the URL? I've got cookies enabled so no need for that ugly
&sid=5ba603f8s6ab8b4a........... etc. part of URL.

true, the problem is still here

but it WAS fixed until it wasn't fixed again

and the sessid probably has something to do with phpbbsecurity deleting the session immediately after login, or whatever konk said.
