blAze: I live in a country where temperatures of -5 have been front-page news for the last two weeks, just ate up 20 minutes of a 30-minute news programme and is being called a "national weather crisis". It is possible that I am making too big a deal of the weather. :<
Yeah but I thought Sweden is like Finland where it's -30 outside and +30 inside.
I never wear more than shorts and a t-shirt at home.
I know Brits don't know how to build houses, so let's not have a lan there during the winter.
Well, i realise you are partly joking. But if you try to rent a location for 4-5 days, with internet connection, electricity and room for 100people and paying almost nothing. You will end up in a school, sportshall or on a indoor gocart racing track etc. These places have some heating, but seldom enough to make it above 19ºC, when its -20ºC outside.

Brits don't know how to build houses, and so the Dutch ppl. When it's -5 outside, I get 10degrees inside (if I turn off the heating) after 2-3hrs

Ireland is not a part of Great Britain or the UK. Nor do we have any common ancestors going back at least a couple of thousand years. I don't know why people keep making that mistake. :/

Maybe they do it just to see how pedantic you are?
Actually you didn't specify where you live so I just assumed.
Willgurht: I see. One would think that at least the schools are heated though!

usually schools turn of the heating during the night and put it on during the mornings so it is warm when kids come there (atleast on my school)
