Hello Quakers

I need another little clarification about QW movements. I think I can Bunnyhop properly, I gain quite a lot of speed doing it but seeing demos about map jumps (I was watching a "Dm6 Classic Jump" demo, but I see this in other demos as well) and I've noticed that people do a "strange" (for me) left-right mouse movement while in air. What's that about?

Thanks in advance

the movement of the mouse is what gains the speed, too fast and you loose speed. to slow and you don't gain as much as you could

I know that you have to follow the movement key movement with your mouse, but in some jumps they kind of make a double movement like: jump, the mouse goes left, then right or vice versa. I guess it's just a feeling I got and it's nothing important

It's long jumping, basically air-strafing like normal, but doing lots of turns in one jump to travel more distance. I can't do it

You can change strafe direction in mid air. Just make sure that you're always moving the mouse in the same direction you're strafing and you can change as many times as you want.

Does that give you more momentum by any chance? Just wondering

Low gravity map e1m8 is good for learning to understand air movement in QW.

Thanks for the tip, that's really smart, going to try it tonight.
