I'd say get mumble built into ezquake I'm pretty sure that Trickle meant an option to use mumble ingame for listening/talking

Maybe just use Mumble as suggested above? The fact that the developers, regardless of which client, do the work for free in their limited spare time does not mean that the development does not cost anything at all. It drains resources, e.g. that limited spare time or motivation/nerves. Everything that goes into the development of one feature (or bug fixing or whatnot), cannot be spent on another, maybe more useful, feature. Please, keep this in mind or do it the Spirit way and other the guys money.

basically for ease of less programs running for ezquake at once, say like someone having to run both Winamp and Mumble outside of it.

You can already use irc, and with irc you can use im, so an rss reader for qw.nu, the forum, and eql results.... then you don't need more

:-( Is upgrade in plans? Yes, it will be updated as soon as I have time for it, haven't had much time this past month I setup and run murmur 1.2.0 (mumble server) in 20 minutes on FreeBSD 8.0, and already played few official 2on2 games in RQWL14.

Yeah, but you didn't have to make it work with the qw.nu website

Tried to do some phil-style voice recording last night and it looks like the qw.nu mumble server is 1.2.2 which doesn't support it. Any chance of this being upgraded to 1.2.3?
