Börp Gaz. What's up? Work is so boring that I'm posting in a lame QW forum, run by gay admins. Unbelieveable isn't it?

Remember which pill you throw in after a heavy night of drinking and you wake up with a headache? The company I work for, makes them. I'm sitting in an office and helping idiots who have computer problems. Woohoo Basically, it's just like home. Except for the porn-factor.

hi andy (jp_teq here) yeah, nice ideas, until some ppl took over and destroyed almost all that I idealized. now they're doing this their way. lets see what the future has reserved. []'s! never argue with an idiot. they'll bring you back to their level and then beat you with experience.

Hey everyone, I like the ideas that has been posted but it feels like alot of people is making it harder then it is. Sure its nice to read stuff and get tips from experienced players how to improve but its the actuall playing that makes you better. An IRC channel to find players at your level would be enough, cause like many stated getting help with problems etc is no problem due to the attitude of the old timers in the scene. Soo, promote a channel and make it known for everyone and it would be alot appreciated by us noobs out there. #qwhb. We're there for you. Teamplay is nothing. Aim is everything. OBEY YOUR AIM

I havent played QW in 4+ years (probably more, not sure, probably stopped in 99-00) and only starting to remember maps and stuff, I can't aim for shit and noboby talked about bunnyhopping back then. The game is MUCH faster now at dmm3 rather than dmm1. I would qualify myself as a newbie and I wanna play 1on1s with people who are a bit above my skill. Playing against godlike peeps doesnt help since I barly have time to pick up a weapon I'm dead already. I'm playing under the name "new player" or "nifrek". Can anybody point me at the right direction? For some reason, the players I play with usually either I get destroyed or I destroy them. I'm not into teamplay much but I always liked a bit 2on2. I want 1on1s. Please. #qwhb. We're there for you. What network? Thanks.

If I recall correctly, in Zanne's thread there was some doubt about how many participants we'd actually get for this kind of league. I don't think that's an issue, do you? I for one would trick 4 or more of my pals into playing some qw 4on4. Imagine how much fun it would be just to get together with a bunch of friends only for league games in a game you have roughly no idea on how to play I think there are lots of people who can promote this idea to their close friends and have a good laugh at and with them. By the way, did I mention this is a great idea? It really is! I don't want to be the one focusing on problems but a sort of auth-bot would be nice, not solely for this cause. Is that something that's possible to create?

I dont think a league or w/e is necessary. Sure it would be very nice but also alot of effort/work has to be done by someone arranging it etc. One official irc channel or something and promoting that one and keep spreading the word I think would be enough and very easy to arrange.

Nice ideas all of them so far BUT!!! Where would I stand in this noobie ladder/league/ffa/1on1 situation you all describe. I have played qw from before Wireplay started back in 9? I had a few years under the belt when i left for UT then Q3. I came back to qw last year and just haven't been able to get my feet. I am I suppose averge NOOB atm, though not improving very fast................Would I fit in this noob league thing?
