The monitors you have for rent/spare are they all VGA (D-SUB) only or do you also have some with DVI connector?

I need to buy a small simple laptop and found perfect one but it has only hdmi output, so i can convert it to DVI but not to vga.

if you can convert to dvi, then you can convert to vga

i've read all around ze internet that it wont work like that you need like some of converter for digital to analog costs like 80 euro

hmm, I think most are vga.. anything else is an exception, I can't promise any dvi

ok maybe i will have to settle with software mode on my old laptop instead :/

you can build a itx system as cheap as chips

i know i can buy something cheap but it always goes to somewhere around 300,- and thats just 2 much for a 4day lan party when I also have to spend about 300 euro for traveling+entrance fee+food

If I didnt buy a new game pc recently i would have bought a game laptop instead.

Ive used to bring an extra laptop to qhlan.. but it has trouble booting most of the times since a few months. But maybe i can fix it )

I can bring a bootable usb drive with win7 installation, can it run ok fps?

Alright, time for some updates! I just talked to Lornelin and he's been testing computers that are available in the venue, seems they do the job pretty good! Can run qw @ around 800x600 for 300fps. There are 20 of these
Also! we have monitors for rent, we can get ahold of like 100 so they won't run out ;D
We're half way through August, I hope everyone are as excited about this QHlan as I am!!

Announcement: I will most likely be selling my PC350s at the LAN. I broke them, ordered a new pair, and then crazy glued the old pair. The old pair is about a year old. It is in good condition, and probably has some more years on it. If you know PC350 you know it is a great headset and pretty expensive. Ask ake Best offer will get it, if anyone wants them at all!

I have a laptop that I could bring if anyone wanna call dibs on it. It's a Sony Vaio VPCY11S1E - http://www.gadgetfolder.com/new-sony-vaio-y11-vpcy11s1es-notebook.html - it's from early 2010 so it's quite good... though, I have to admit that I never really figured out how to get stable fps and smooth qw on it :p

But I guess some config guru can make it happened
