Since my intellimouse explorer 3.0 doesn't have polling rate settings in the driver I had to overclock my usb ports manually. Problem is that pesky driver signature enforcement. After some searching I found something that worked for me in win7 (x64) and vista too. Download the latest version of Readydriver plus (http://www.citadelindustries.net/readydriverplus/) and install it (NOTE: Leave default settings unless you are running dual boot. If you are you might have to play around with them). This will disable the driver signature enforcement automatically when you boot windows. Now you should be able to change your usb polling rate on the fly. I used the hidusbf program (google: hidusbf). I'm not sure if there is a better way without disabling driver signing, maybe someone else knows
. Now if only I could get more than 120hz on my crt win7 would be perfect!

i got it working some three times in x64 win 7.. but once I replaced my WMO 1.1 for a new one and the damn DSEO solution simply wouldn`t solve it anymore.. so I googled hard and stumbled into this: http://www.tipandtrick.net/2008/permanently-turn-off-and-disable-64-bit-x64-windows-vista-forced-driver-signature-signing-with-readydriver-plus/
its like a OS boot option that automatically sets win 7 to run on on 'Non signed drivers required' mode and im really satisfied with it, since I have no worries to unplug / plug / replace mouses anymore.
