Just had this vision that I've had couple of times before again You know how you're always jumping around dm3 or some other map in prewar and doing this "line" you always do? I want those lines! I want them on demos! The idea is to make a more floaty soft qw-movie with a handful of frags and more of these lines in prewar So start recording in prewar and I want flawless lines please! no touching walls(unless it's intended) or getting caught in stuff! This is still on the drawing-board and I can't promise it'll be a released qw-movie yet.. but if you feel it could be something worth seeing, send me an e-mail with a demo Cheers

I'm not sure I understand what you mean with this "line", could you explain it a bit more plz? :[

If u spect prewars u will see that a lot of player do some run through the map. Each has a unique "circle" on the map what he knows quite well since the player do it time to time to avoid the boring waits (if I understood well what Peppe wants)

Hagge is too irrational to run around in pretermined patterns.

I would like too see demos like this from basic 4on4 maps http://challenge-tv.com/demos/view/23783 .

Well clearly I have better things to do than to jump around in prewar in a cocain line

Well clearly I have better things to do than to jump around in prewar in a cocain line Like what, Hagge. This might be 'clear' to you, but it's not to us

Columbian lines are the best lines, no worry about that, and you wish you had colombian lines in prewar you could jump around in, though you have the skill Hagge, you don't have the will! Custom maps for the show, episodes for the pro.

Jon Snow got it right :> Katsku that's exactly what I mean! don't know if I have apokalypze's permission to use that one tho.. but GOOD example! Edit: another example: http://challenge-tv.com/demos/view/37352

I dont think you need permissions or that Apokalypze would mind. Atleast when you put it in qw movie or something like that than streaming it over Europe 24/7. Thou I dont know him or his nature. Your own examples are just fine enough moviematerial.

It reminds me of repetitive rituals that caged animals develop. 'Tis sad.

http://foogs.info/demos/map%20runs/
6 10 minute attempts on 5 maps. 2 aerowalks, the later aerowalk (811.mvd) is the only one that i remember around the 4:40-5:00 mark and 1:00 mark there are 2 good runs.
The other maps youll have to sift through. If you want me to polish one pick one out and reply in this thread and I'll practice it for you. My movement isnt so great cause of q3 but these should work!

Peppe's skateboarding giving him ideas I was thinking along the same lines a few years ago, more demos with multiple tricks in a row (line), but I spent more time looking for new hard tricks (some of which took hours to get) than stringing together known tricks.

Good man.
I still lurk from time to time. BMX is good, I often bounce down the street making OOF sounds like Quake :>
I might have some runs to submit, I'd have to install Quake & download some of my demos to look. I hope my demos are still on the Intarwebs.
Bummed that the MVDSV tricking comp movie was never made, it was good to see so many people involved in a QW tricking project.

haha :> OOF <3 I try to hop on my board when I have the time, well I'd like to see some of it man! problem though, not many demos to play with, will have to see during the fall if people start playing/tricking more

how is this coming along? interested because i'm working on a similar movie atm. a short movie with only a few frags and more focus on movement. using camquake to try and get qw's epic feeling of freedom of movement captured. hit me up on irc if you want some pointers for camquake.

not at all actually, I was hoping for better response on this since there are many players good at flying around a map you can probably take the demos bps gave me and the ones I recorded, I'd love to learn camquake from you master

welll.. not to brag but i do know some of the finer points about camquake by now i don't need any more demos at this point because i just cammed a single demo for the clip. actually all i need now is somebody *standing still* in a good looking spot on some map. it's hard to get this stuff in a demo i understand. especially as you'd want .mvd, not .dem if you plan on capturing it from 3rd person view.
