it was fuhquake 0.28 build 451 and was only designed for this feature - it wasn't meant to be used as your normal client

however, it may only have played back qwd - i don't rememeber for sure

its also possible that the functionality made it through in future releases - i havn't checked the source

the release info is here (but the binary link is broken)

as i suspected though it was only for cutting clips out of qwd demos - not out of mvd sadly

As you supposed, this feature is still available in the latest release.

I wonder what issues prevented fuh from making it work with mvd...

qwd clips are pretty straightforward; the functionality was already there, a couple of simple fixes made it work.
a qw client was never supposed to record mvds so that may be a little harder. I'll take a look when I get around to it.

Sorry to revive this old thread but I'm having a problem while converting qwd->mvd (instead of the opposite here in the topic)

After converting, I'm noticing that teh speed of the *.mvd is ridiculously accelerated, even with demo_setspeed at 100. It's very choppy in the sense that players warp, sound is accelerated, and rounds end in a matter of seconds.

Can anyone please advise?

Thanks in advance!

What about demo_capture_fps? Does changing it helps?

Now is that while record a demo during gameplay or capturing a demo to pictures (demo_capture)? I think there's a difference?
