QBSP, VIS, Light, BSP2PRT, etc..
Where can I find Linux versions of these? Source preferred.
Are there any more modern versions available that would compile cleanly with modern gcc?

AFAIR vanilla id source will compile with no or little modification. Use google.
One modern tool is hmap2, which combines all these tool in one binary, well, except light because the lighting it produces is absolutely ridiculous.

gb ported aguirRe's tools. I think http://quaddicted.com/tools/bjptools-090908.zip is the latest one.
hmap2 is nice too but not as stable.

FYI, I just made a package in the
AUR (ArchLinux User Repository) for anyone else who uses that distro.
