Lets say you were trying to explain to someone how great quakeworld is, which movies would you show them as the best examples?
Some of the older movies have the best frags, but were made before the newer pretty stuff we have now which might scare off some people. Some of the better looking movies are massive in size which is bad for someone who is trying to be convinced of a game being good (they'd likely not want to download a gig of a movie).

Sassa, I totally agree. QW Malfunctioned is wonderful aswell, except for the dull panning intro.

qhlan Video II has it all. great music, great frags and features a bunch of top names in qw. the sync with the music is fantastic and i like the oldskool setup.

ldde2 is also cool, but in a different way. it's like a small comedy. the music takes you back in time to your earlier years and the frags combined with the comments are funny. this one is good even though it's not that well edited.

also like the idea of the "That's what it is" video's, both of them are unique.

pez is a great moviemaker, still, i have never seen a video with him that i enjoy the music selection to 100%. but music is subjective and still it's a big part of what makes the movie great - and finding that balance with good editing and a music selection that almost everyone like is hard.

to wrap it all up, Bedazzled Movements is probably the only freestyle movie i've enjoyed much and that is again because of the music selection. of course is the freestyle material in this movie fantastic aswell, and it's not too long. i believe a good frag movie should be around 6-8 minutes and in a fast pace so you have to watch it over and over to get those small details you missed before, it makes it last longer.

Qhlan movie 2 - because of the extremly good syncing and cool frags in an easy and niceful way. Tho kinda short. Good soundtrack.
Mortuality - Good length of the film and extremly good looking. Nice soundtrack as well.
Lohjan Dag Done Extreme II - just a funny and easy-to-understand film But it rawks!
Moscow Lan Party 2003 - kinda good in many ways, seems like a skilled guy did the film, but lacks xp? it has more cons than pros But it's overall cool!
Team Fortress Done Extreme II - Very very very very well done film! Feels like it took 534895325 hours making it. Just overall supergood in every way, and it would have been even more good looking if it would have been done today. Just ONE flaw - it's tf :>

Frags Done Satanic X - The bestiest movie so far imo. It just has everything, good length, funny moments, skillful showoffs, nice skins (hey swe hockey!) and it's so fucking good quality And good soundtrack as well... techno and/or metal in qw is just the best. Just nice to watch those crazy ssc-guys fooling around drunk taking pics and playing some kind of strange music irl ... huh, but it's entertaining! Just a little bit too much of it maybe? But the qw in it rules! Two flaws - should have had cooler textures + more cool angles, but not in an exaggurated way! (It's only from players' eyes!)

eh, my vote goes to FDE1. Prolly the best movie to get started (actually it got me involved in qw).

FDE I wouldn't show to anyone outside of QW to bring him on 'our' side, I think it's pretty outdated and would not impress. I mean, most of us don't give a shit about graphic unless we can't see what's going on, but people from other games like to see something in it.

I like QHLan movies because they are not biased in special effects and also there's a really nice music sync in the 2nd one, and that's what people like about them.

I like the idea of putting the small clips as Drama's frag of the week, and qw.nu movie competition ones on Youtube! nice, direct access to them. future qw players enjoy it for sure!
