Hi guys

I know, I know you don't have to say a thing I am pretty aware of what you are thinking about FDE3 but I still didn't drop this project.
Anyway, I need the help of all QuakeWorld Cracks/Freaks/Nerds out there. I plan to release FDE3 this year and I'm doing some kind of historical review on Quake 1 but I'm lacking on events and dates to this events.
I'm pretty much done with the year 1995,1996 and 1997 and would need stuff for the years afterwards until now.
This would include information for things like , first qizmo release , apertment hunting movie, this 3 hour movie which I can't remember the name , any big tournament or any outstanding event.
To make things easier I only need the year of release and I only would need 3 or 4 events per year.

And now the second big please
Fine material ( demos ) from the last 10 years of quake. But please don't flood me with tripple airhit rockets from end or amphi. Let's see if gmail can handle this Please send all demos or links to dlrm42@gmail.com. Include the time where you think something interesting is happening and also the year and, if possible, the month when the demo was recorded. Information of guy to track and nickname if someone is faking or whatsoever. There can't be to few information. You don't have to cut the demo, if you do please let at least 15 seconds befor and after the main thing for me so I can easly work with.
Please compress the demo in any kind.

I appreciate all of your info and submissions.

greetings
-delirium

in 1995 the first screenshots of quake were released and of course beta testing.

to clear things a bit, all the historical information are part of the intro , so I don't want to strech it in boring length or put alot of information into it.
I only need 3 to 4 outstanding events or whatever, espacially for the years 2000-2006. Thats the same for the demos material. demos of nonstandard maps would also be fine to represent a bit more than dm2 and dm3

I think the most fascinating events where those where clan 9 challenged USA's deathrow, Russia's AMD and afaik the UK national team. Other very cool events were for example the TGI (TrueGamers Invitational) duel tournament (Sectopod being impressive with his smooth movements and kind of new tricks in dm4 where Reload stuns with his quick and exact reactions. Not to mention the nerve-killing finale between LakermaN and Kane) or the LAN-Party where the TeddyBears (clan constisting of several high skilled nordic players including Sniket from 9) got smashed by Schroet Kommando in the 4on4 tourney. I have tons of demos from these events but not the time to look them through searching for nice moments.

And of course, if the demo is also about german Quake-History, i could provide you with a demo from the final of the first DM4-tourney held on the very first _BIG_ Quake LAN-Party 1997 in Berlin (which i accidentally won \o/). Hehe.
